The ESMBA have announced changes to the ICC championships that will come into effect as of next season. The format of the competition will remain the same, however all Premier and A-Team groups will now consist of three teams. This has been done to allow time for two new competitions to take place. There will be a double rink competition consisting of 8 players per team, and each county can enter two teams in this competition. Secondly, a 5 man team comp made up of a pair and a triple will also take place. Early indications are that 4 teams per county will be admitted into this new competition. These comps are voluntary as we understand it, but any entries we make will be representing Cheshire. As for the ICC, Cheshire Premier have been placed in group 1 with Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, while the A-Team are also in group 1, with North Yorkshire who have dropped out of the Premier section, and West-Mids A. So a new look to our groups for next season. More details to follow once we have them.
